At this age, everything is new. Babies are busy trying to figure this world out. We forget because we've seen things a million times. For an 8 month old, the first time is quite interesting. Take eating Cheerios, for example. To us? Not that interesting. To an 8 month old? You try getting your fingers to pick up this tiny object, and get it into your mouth on the first try!
Or how about as mommy gets ready for work, you wander in to her shoe closet. All of those pretty shoes? Just objects to throw around!
