Seth - 7 Months

This baby boy is so much fun! Here is what he is doing:

* 6 teeth
* LOVES food.  Can't get enough of it.
* Army crawling and scooting all over the place.  You never know when or where you will find him!
* Always happy.  If he fusses, he is tired.  He is the happiest, smiliest baby you will ever meet!
* He loves his siblings.  He just adores them and loves to play with them.  Good thing they love to play with him, too!

I love you, sweet boy.  You bring such happiness to our lives.

12th Anniversary

A dozen years.  And I couldn't love him more.  A getaway to the Four Seasons in Scottsdale, the temple, someone else making me dinner and breakfast.  I have to be careful because I could get used to this!  But I missed our children too much so we were gone just one night.  I wouldn't be able to get used to that.

Dinner: Banihana's

Christmas 2013

Christmas was magical.  It was simple, yet fulfilling and we had a wonderful time.  We ate our traditional homemade breadbowls and soup, finished up the Christmas tree, tucked the kids into bed, and then finished playing Santa and Mrs. Claus.  I love this time of year.

Life Isn't Fair, Or So Lollipops Teach Us...

James received a huge blue lollipop from his teacher, Mrs. Malia.  Sariah didn't get one, and was very sad.  But James, as tenderhearted as he is, shared his with her.  But until he did, he gloated for a little bit.  Sariah quickly forgot that she had made a gingerbread house at school and James didn't get any of that.  But when you decide that life isn't fair, it is hard to remember those other things.  When I think life isn't fair, I have to remember my "gingerbread" houses, too.

Fit to be "tied"!

One of the things I admire most about Sariah is her determination.  When she sets her mind to do something, nothing will stop her.  This sometimes gets her into trouble because she gets very frustrated when it doesn't happen the first time.

When she was finally ready to learn to tie her shoes, she kept at it for almost 30 minutes.  She eventually did it, without any help from me.  None.  Rarely does she ask for my help, and I am okay with that.  She knows where I am if she needs my help, and will readily ask if she feels it warrants the situation.

Yes, she is in her leotard.  Yes, it is December.  Be jealous.

Thumbprint Cookies

I love building memories with my girl.  Today we made Jared's favorite cookies - raspberry thumbprint cookies.  There are moments when I don't think I could possibly love her anymore, for my heart would burst.
