Conversations and Teddy Grahams

This boy is 16 months old today!  How in the world did THAT happen?  He jibber jabbers all.the.time.  He will tell full stories, with 0 coherent words.  But by the looks on his face, he sure knows the stories he wants to tell!  His new thing is saying prayers.  He will sit on your lap, or anywhere for that matter, and fold his hands.  He'll jabber something, and I'll say "Do you want to say a prayer?"  He will then excitedly exclaim "DA!"

He woke up starving from his nap.  So we walked out to the kitchen, and I asked him if he wanted a snack.  He squeeled, wiggled out of my arms, ran over to the pantry, and pulled out the bag of Teddy Grahams.  Is he really big enough to pick out his own snack?  He understands so much, and I am fascinated by all the brain development!  Now if we can only get him to talk so I can understand.

Puddle Jumper

It rained today.  So we went outside and played in the water.  Watching Seth explore was just too funny.  I adore my little puddle jumper!

The big kids are starting to realize that Seth and I do some fun things while they are at school.  They feel left out, which always leads to the "it's not FAIR!" conversations.  Until they realize that they get to stay up later, go to the movies, etc.  These conversations crack me up!

Joyous Mayhem

One child was wonderful.  Two was even better!  But 3?  Joyous mayhem!  And both of those words are magnified more than I ever thought possible!

Seth is climbing things faster than I can keep track of!  He has found his way to the top of the kitchen table, and he has figured out that he can climb just about anything if he pushes over a chair or other stepping stool.

(Nice photo-bomb Sariah!)

James is so sweet, loving, snuggly, and...EMOTIONAL.  He swings from happy to sad so fast, and sometimes that is tough to work with.  No matter what position I am sitting or laying in, he'll always find a "nest" to curl up in.

Joyous mayhem.  We're about to start 3 weeks of fall break.  Let the mayhem continue!

Ants Up My Pants

Seth crawled across an ant nest.  Poor guy got bit 100+ times.  Sariah was quick-thinking and ran and grabbed the hose so I could spray him off.  It took about 2 weeks before the bites, and the remnants of them, were completely gone.

The Cookie Monster

Oh this boy.  He is full of jibber jabber, destroying everything in his path, colorful temper tantrums, and slobbery kisses.

AND he has discovered how to open our doors.  Awesome.

With that came the discovery of cookies.

The following pictures tell his tale...

And yes...pants are overrated.
