Help! I have an 8 month old who needs to eat...

What do you do when your 8 month old is allergic to yogurt (and soy yogurt), won't eat string cheese, and is getting bored with baby food? I'm not sure what to feed her at this age other than baby food, and she needs her protein! She has plenty of teeth and can start to chew on stuff...but I'm running out of ideas. Anyone out there have advice or suggestions??

Raw meat, give her a little and right away you will have a crazy carnivore on your hands. (Make sure to keep the dog away afterwards though, you never know)

use a baby food grinder and grind up chicken or beef. If I make a casserole or pasta I usually grind it up...they usually like it better than baby food because it's more flavorful.

at babies r us and target they have these fresh fruit eating things.. they have a ring on the end and a mesh-like bag where the idea is you put fresh fruit in there that they can eat without choking on it. ellena loved these with anything i put in it, and i'm sure she would gnaw on cooked chicken or any other protein in it.

here is the link to what those things look like-

i prefer these ones since it is much easier to change the bag when it gets nasty.

I give my kids Avacado to start, they love it & it is great for brain development. I wouldn't worry too much children will eat what they need.
